Please note that this version, unlike the Windows version, is not pre-compiled; you'll need to have Perl installed on your machine to use it.
Most linux installations do have Perl installed, and nearly all can easily find a version to install. In addition to Perl itself, you'll need some non-standard but popular Perl modules. The file readme.linux.txt in the tar archive explains what they are and how to get them.
